Hello members of OADC,

As I have heard many people around my office say, “it’s already April!?”  Well, I feel the same way and this introductory blog post is long overdue.  I took over the duties of President at the Winter meeting in late January 2025 and it has been a whirlwind of activity since.  We are busy planning the upcoming Summer meeting in Dallas, TX and I would encourage everyone to take a look at our revised schedule and stellar lineup of speakers.  In previous years, the Summer meeting has spanned Thursday through Saturday…but this year we are going to try and allow some more flexibility in scheduling and have loaded most of the CLE onto only Friday and Saturday, so people can choose if they want to Friday night or through the weekend.  In all, we have 8 hours of CLE and it’s at a great location: the Hilton Anatole.  Please make your reservations and spread the word because we would love to share the knowledge base of OADC with new members!

I would also encourage everyone to let me know of any interest in OADC leadership, whether that be serving on a committee or even leading one!  Currently we have spots open in Governance and Long-range planning, so don’t be shy and let me know.

I will endeavor to keep the blog updated with news and events, including our work with the legislature…which has been busy.  In the meantime, my lines are open.  I look forward to working with you all towards a successful and prosperous 2025!
